I would love to help anyone who is just beginning to stamp as well as those who are seasoned stampers. I know it can be overwhelming when first stamping so thought it would be a great idea to show you what I would select if I were to start being a stamper again. I started stamping well over 26 years ago and have been a demonstrator for 24 years so here is a list I have come up with just for the basics. I did not select a stamp set or ribbon which I feel are a must, because I feel that is personal. I would love to request that any stamp set purchased be one that will do more than one card. The more you can get out of one set, the best value you will have for that set. So both a stamp set and ribbon to coordinate would also go on this list. A Designer Series Paper would be nice although you can stamp a background and get a look like a Designer Series Paper if you must be limited at first.
The pierce mat would not be necessary if you are not going to use photopolymer stamps.
I hope this helps those of you who are just starting out. If you are a seasoned stamper you may have your own must have list and if I have missed something, let me know and I can put it in another post.
